Evaldas Gulbinas | from skater to international Tattoo artist

At the age of 6 years old he picked up pencil and started to draw castles. He really loved it. He remembers he was so deep in drawing while other kids were playing outside in good weather. Later on he went to Kedainiai art school and M.K.Ciurlionis National school of Art in Vilnius city, Lithuania. After finishing his studies he moved to London city, United Kingdom.

He always was a skateboarder. There in London have seen so many nice skateparks. He fell in love with Uk. Everywhere was urban and street arts. The story of becoming a Tattoo artist started when he broke his knee ligaments and couldn’t skate or it will be very dangerous.

So he got into tattooing. For him tattooing is a mixture of his fine arts and street arts( street art reminds him of skateboarding). So he got to tattoo apprenticeships and started to work professionally in tattoo parlours.

He also decided to carry on his art studies academically in London, United Kingdom. He went to Foundation in Art and design at West Thames College, London, Uk. He felt in love studying. As well he was working through several tattoo studios in London, Uk. In the course he was learning life drawing, mixed media work, sculpture, installations and picked up multimedia. He was so happy by unlocking technologies where he can create unbelievable art. He also creates several new styles by tattooing and studying academically art. He thinks it was a cross over between tattooing and arts. He have been working and studying a lot but had full satisfaction. After graduating, he went to Bachelor’s in Fine art- mixed media at University of Westminster, London , Uk.

There he got so much freedom to be hisself and started to do so many art exhibitions. As well he was hard working and studying. He actually did have off days in a week… after graduation I he went to Master’s degree in Fine art at University of the Arts London. There he met so much people where they all are friends till now. He did more even art exhibitions and learn a lot more arts conceptually.

As well, he have been tattooing through the course. He thinks is fun- “ like being creative in tattooing,  arts, universities and art galleries. It’s like playing game. Creating art and tattoos keeps him alive and makes him happy.
